Smart AI Tools was born out of frustration. Every AI tool website seemed to be either a press release rewritten by a bot, or an “affiliate review” that clearly never actually used the product. We wanted something different: real testing, honest opinions, no fluff.
Founded in May 2026, we’ve grown from a single review to a library of 43+ in-depth articles covering every corner of the AI tools landscape — writing assistants, code generators, image editors, video creators, voice synthesizers, AI agents, and more.
How We Review
Every tool reviewed on this site goes through the same process:
- Sign up and pay. We use real accounts with real money. No free demos, no “enterprise trial” handouts.
- Use it for real work. We don’t run benchmark scripts and call it a day. We use each tool for actual projects — writing articles, building apps, editing videos, whatever the tool claims to do.
- Compare apples to apples. We test competing tools on the same tasks so our comparisons are fair and actionable.
- Write honestly. If a tool is overpriced, underpowered, or just not ready, we say so. No affiliate-driven fluff. No paid placements disguised as reviews.
