I then spent 48 hours with each site: tweaking the AI-generated output within each tool’s editor, testing mobile responsiveness, checking page speed, and trying to understand how much manual work was actually needed to make the site look professional.

Wix AI: The Polished Performer

Wix’s AI website builder has come a long way since its early days. You answer a few questions (business type, name, goals), and it generates a surprisingly complete website. For BeanVault, it produced a 6-page site in about 90 seconds.

The AI Reality Check

Here’s the honest truth after building the same site with three AI tools:

AI website builders are great at phase one. Going from “I have an idea” to “I have a functional website with content and images” in under 5 minutes is genuinely magical.
